Position Overview
The Social Mobilizer will be responsible for community engagement, beneficiary identification, and mobilization for project activities. The role focuses on ensuring inclusive participation of women and vulnerable groups, supporting awareness sessions, and facilitating communication between the community and project teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Mobilize and engage target communities, especially women, to participate in project activities.
- Support in the identification and verification of eligible beneficiaries for winter and hygiene kit distributions.
- Conduct household visits and community meetings to share project information and key messages.
- Facilitate hygiene promotion and protection awareness sessions in collaboration with the Hygiene Promoters.
- Ensure transparent communication about selection criteria, project objectives, and beneficiary entitlements.
- Collect and report community feedback and share with the MEAL Officer for follow-up.
- Support in organizing distributions, ensuring smooth crowd management and proper documentation.
- Maintain accurate records of participants, meetings, and sessions conducted.
- Identify and report any protection or gender-related concerns raised by community members.
- Build trust and strong relationships with community representatives, elders, and women’s groups.
- Support the project team in monitoring and reporting activities as required.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum Intermediate (FA/FSc); Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences or a related field is preferred.
- At least 1–2 years of experience in community mobilization, awareness raising, or humanitarian fieldwork.
- Strong communication and facilitation skills, especially with women and marginalized groups.
- Understanding of local cultural dynamics and gender norms in Buner.
- Basic reporting and record-keeping skills.
- Fluency in Pashto and Urdu.
- Female candidates from District Buner are strongly encouraged to apply.
Duration and Duty Station
This is a short-term position for one month, based in District Buner, with daily field visits to project target areas.
